Today I woke up and did my usual routine, go to the Waterfront get some breakfast, see Taylor, and get my car. As I was sitting at the bar I see my friend Tommy. Let me preface this by saying a little something about Tommy. First of all, you notice him when he comes in the room. His energy is so positive it’s refreshing and he is always smiling. He is a regular at the bar and is about 60 years old. I have known him for a year or so, and for whatever reason we talk while I’m working, like really talk. He has confided in me, we talk about ailing parents, death of loved ones, one night stands, addiction, and other parts of our lives. But today he taught me a lot about life and what’s important.
